"Fulfilling the Great Commission"
"... Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you... - JESUS (Matt. 28:19-20)

MOBILIZING THE CHURCH THROUGH EVANGELISM & DISCIPLESHIP
Most Christians would acknowledge their obligation to be a witness for Jesus Christ, however, many of them feel inadequate or powerless in the area of personal evangelism.
The question is...Should it be this way? The apostle Paul prayed for Philemon, "that the sharing of your faith might become effective". (Philemon 1:6 NKJV) and God answers prayer. It is up to us if we want to learn to be effective, too!According to statistics, at least 80% of those who accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, do so because a friend either invited them to an evangelistic event, or because they gave them a personal witness and testimony. Therefore it is very important for each of us to develop a personal plan for evangelism that will call us to action.

God’s commandments to His church
He responded by saying" - Mark 12:29-33 -- "The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: `Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' 31. The second is this: `Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these." 32. "Well said, teacher," the man replied. "You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him. 33. To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices."
In some of His last words to His disciples, Jesus gave the "Great Commission" to them and assigned them four more tasks; "... Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." - Matt, 28:19,20
Together, these passages summarize God’s commands to His church.
( Psalms 50:23 ; Romans. 12:1-3 ; Psalms. 150 )
- Love Your neighbor as your self - Ministry
- Go and make disciples - Evangelism
- Baptizing them - Fellowship
- Teaching them to obey - Discipleship
As we are continuing in our Christian walk, let us always remember: Jesus said, "As long as it is day, we must do the work of Him who sent me". (John 9:4 NIV)
"You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you: and you shall be My witnesses....even to the remotest part of the earth." (Acts 1:8)
For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope--the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good. These, then, are the things you should teach. Encourage and rebuke with all authority. Do not let anyone despise you. - (Titus 2:11-15)
